How to apply to study Bachelor and Master degree study programmes

Information about Admission process for 2018/2019

When applying to the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the CTU in Prague, the process is much the same as on other European universities.

The deadline for applications - March 31st 2018.

How to apply

Few simple steps:

  1. First of all, choose the Bachelor or Master degree study branch you wish to study. As you are going to study this programme for several years make sure you choose a programme which meets your personal interests and you know you will really enjoy studying!

  2. Read carefully the Condition for admission to a full time 3year bachelor degree study programme or the Condition for admission to a in full time 2year follow-up master degree study programme.

  3. Fill in online application form.

  4. Pay the administrative fee: The general admission fee of CTU Prague is 650 CZK/approximately 25 EURO. The admission fee has to be paid before submitting the final application. Proof of payment is a part of required documents.

    Administrative fee can be paid by card (Newly can be used the payment gateway for administrative fee payment directly from the electronic application to study of online credit card. You can find the link to the very end of the drafting and conclusion of the electronic application to study)

Please note: In order to apply, each prospective student must complete the application form not only electronically but also send a signed hard copy to the faculty including the required attachments:

Required documents for Bachelor´s degree applicants:

  • - an authenticated copy of your high school diploma and a certified copy of your transcript of studies, translated into English (i.e. high school diploma with a diploma supplement) or a certificate of a successful passing of the final graduation examination including validation clause concerning with the recognition of foreign education in the Czech Republic (detailed info is available via studijni@fbmi.cvut.cz) as well. Applicants who at the time of application have not completed the study, submit a high school diploma additionally, in person no later than by the 24th September 2018.
  • - motivation letter
  • - medical certificate (medical report)
  • - proof of the administrative fee payment
  • - copy of your passport

 

Required documents for Master´s degree applicants:

  • - an authenticated copy of bachelor degree diploma and an authenticated copy of transcript of subjects translated into English (i.e. diploma with a diploma supplement) or a certificate of successful passing of the final graduation examination. Validation clause concerning with the recognition of foreign education in the Czech Republic is required too. The applicants who have not completed their study in a Bachelor’s degree study programme by the time of submitting their application shall present the respective documents later, but no later than by the 24th September 2018.

Entrance examination in English - consist of Letter of mottivation (information and questions how to write mottivation letter are listed in Condition for admission) and of Proficiency in English (this fact will be verified by controlled interview through SKYPE on announced schedule - 23th April – 27th April 2018 / 14th May – 18th  May 2018).

  3. FBME CTU will issue a letter of acceptance.
  1. Get information about accommodation and apply for accommodation in Prague and confirmation of accommodation at a CTU dormitory.

  2. Get your health care insurance.

  3. Apply for a visa (long term stay) at the Czech Embassy in your country. Mrs Kulhankova (kulhankova@fbmi.cvut.cz) will help you to get all necessary documents for your application.
